I saw a Mouse! Where?

Couldn't resist another walk round the fields on a beautiful, though freezing, afternoon, accompanied by my wife. The Chilterns are still snow covered:

Around the village, a female House Sparrow:

Magpies mobbing the local Buzzards:

Abundant Red Kites:

There has been an influx of Golden Plover, most fields holding small numbers:


Best of all I notice a small brown movement in Old Barns Field and am amazed to see a Wood Mouse, out in the middle of a frozen field in lunchtime sunshine:





Something festive to finish with, an approachable Robin:
