Now that's what I call flooding... vol 18

The River Thame has flooded extensively this week:

The high water levels have saturated the fields again, bringing in the Thrushes. 800 Fieldfare today...


... and also 300 Starlings:



Only a single Snipe today. It can't be easy flying with a bill that long:

Two Hares, in varying degrees of flatness:

So after a week of snow which brought in local rarities such as Barn Owl (4th record, hunting in the snow in my bike lights) and 2 Common Gulls (4th & 5th records) no new species were added to the year list today, despite all that standing water. 59 species for the year.
