With the Cuddesdon year list stuck on 89 species since mid May, a new addition is badly needed to equal the 2010 total and be just one short of the record 2011 total of 91. However despite for listening for Quail, watching for Turtle Dove and dreaming stupidly of Shrikes, Cuddesdon is once again, near birdless, the above Swift and below Sedge Warbler, being the exceptions:
Insects are so much easier to photograph though, and with a little sunlight this morning I lost myself for a while with these beauties:
Common Blue
Marbled White
Six Spot Burnet Moth
Small White
Meadow Brown
Male Beautiful Demoiselle Damselfly
Red Admiral
