Out too early... again.

A cold frosty night and -3 degrees as I leave the house this morning, into the fog:

As the light improves, all the usual suspects are in the hedgerows...
... and in the fields
Above, Grey Partridge. This field also held 150 Fieldfares. Below, a typical field scene (r-l): Buzzard, Carrion Crow, Lesser Black-backed Gull.
And then the sky turned the colour of blue that seems to indicate spring is on the way.
I predict the first singing Chiffchaff in the next 48 hours... that'll be spring migration completed out here then.
