Just a quick survey of the local hedgerows revealed that all the migrants were still at nearby Otmoor or just out of view in the Chilterns. From Cuddesdon I can see the hilltop that held 3 Ring Ouzel and a Redstart yesterday, but will they come this way? Will they heck. However, after a couple of near misses over the years, I finally come face to face with a Sparrowhawk on a freshly taken kill:
Nothing to report elsewhere, except a high altitude Hirundine species that passed north at 5000 metres and avoided identification. Thank God I added Sand Martin to the Cuddesdon list last month, or Cuddesdon would have woken to the sound of hair being pulled out.
